How to Do a One Armed Pull Up

An easy to understand way to do a one hand pull up.

  1. Image titled Do a One Armed Pull Up Step 1Position yourself properly under the bar.
  2. Image titled Do a One Armed Pull Up Step 2Either step up to the bar or be ready to jump
  3. Image titled Do a One Armed Pull Up Step 3If you are jumping up to the bar than read step four, if you going to step up to the bar skip to step 5.
  4. Image titled Do a One Armed Pull Up Step 4Jump and grab the bar as if you are about to do a regular pull up. Proceed to grab your weaker arm (by the wrist) with your stronger arm. This will give you the strength needed to go down and back up and do your very first one hand pull up, repeat as needed.
  5. Image titled Do a One Armed Pull Up Step 5Have your step up positioned near the bar and proceed to grab your weaker arm (By the wrist) with your stronger arm and then you can latch on to the bar and begin doing your pull ups.
